Biometric systems are the access control system, where to identify are used the parameters of the human body. The basis of biometric identification systems is the recognition of the retina of the human eye, of the face, of the finger or palm print. Nowadays are widely used biometric systems with fingerprint identification of the person. A biometric reader takes a fingerprint using a sensing element. Such a reader, in fact, is a scanner that transmits data on the papillary lines of a human finger to the controller, a special unit which function is to record the data, and its conversion to a digital model. Next, the controller compares the constructed digital model (pattern) with the previously obtained model and at the coincidence opens the access. The application of the system greatly enhances the security level, as the physical parameters of the person cannot be forged, unlike the password or access cards. In addition, it is also more convenient to the staff to use such a system. Keys or plastic cards can be lost or forgotten, but the biometric data are an essential feature.
