Angle of views of video cameras, focal length lenses

The values ​​given in this table may be used for the selection of the lens cameras, knowing the distance to the object of observation and size of the object horizontally and vertically.

 

This calculation assumes that the camera is mounted at a height of 2.5 m, the upper limit of the vertical field of view is directed strictly horizontal plane, the object of observation is the individual growth of 1.6 m.

The "blind zone" of the camera - the area under the camera that is not available to view, starts from the place of the camera installation, ends where the object falls entirely within the vertical field of view video camera.

The minimal distance to the object starts where ends with "blind spot" camcorder.

The maximum distance ends where the size of the object on the screen begins to cover less than half of the screen vertically.

Using lenses on distance which are more than of recommended, clarity and the ability to distinguish between objects will fall in proportion to the distance.
